Abu Dhabi: The first group of Emirati students has recently graduated from the Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE).

The 28 students completed Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).

The students have become qualified educators and are prepared to start taking up professional teaching in various public schools across the UAE.

ECAE was established in 2007 and is focused on preparing a new generation of graduate teachers and educational leaders through a four-year Bachelor of Education degree.

The college also offers professional development courses for school leaders and is providing English language training for school principals.

There are currently three hundred male and female students in the ECAE preparatory foundation year.

Members of the Abu Dhabi Education Council, the College's Board of Trustees, school principals and school teachers will be present at the Mentor Graduation Ceremony at the ECAE college auditorium on Thursday.
