Sharjah: A yacht was gutted after it caught fire in Al Laya area of Sharjah on Friday evening, Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence, told Gulf News.
The civil defence operation room was alerted at 7.32 pm about the incident.
Firefighters from Mina, Samnan stations rushed to the site and put out the blaze before it spread to other boats.
