Fire destroys five caravans in Dubai

Dubai: Five portable cabins were burnt at a construction site near Dubai Mall when flames broke out at 12.26pm on Wednesday, a Dubai Civil Defence spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said the fire was put out by 1.05pm and that there were no injuries or deaths.

The fire broke out in 12 portable cabins at a construction site, but only five burnt and firefighters saved the remainder, he said.

Fire trucks from Satwa, Al Manara and Al Qouz civil defence stations were dispatched to the site.
