Festival to honour Mother of the Nation

Dubai: Zayed Carnival, a cultural festival, began at Zayed University (ZU) in honour of the Mother of the Nation Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairperson of the UAE General Women's Union, and for her remarkable support of women.

The event is part of the university's Mother of the Nation celebrations that began on Monday and will continue until April 23 with seminars and exhibitions highlighting Shaikha Fatima's work being organised at ZU's Abu Dhabi and Dubai campuses.

Among the various activities planned is a seminar titled 'Mother of the Nation in the Eyes of the World' and a photography exhibition by royal photographer Noor Ali Rashid.

ZU celebrations close with an operetta titled Mother of the Nation to be held on April 22 and 23.

At the Zayed Carnival, students showcased their talent in business and marketing.
