Top floor apartment in Kalba area catches fire, leaving family stranded

Sharjah: A family had to be rescued after becoming stranded in a burning apartment in the Kalba area of Sharjah on Friday night.
Lieutenant Colonel Sami Al Naqabi, Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence, said residents of the five-storey building were evacuated after fire broke out at 9.05pm.
The fire started in an apartment on the top floor, Lt. Col. Al Naqabi said.
Firefighters from Kalba and Fujairah tackled the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
Police are now investigating the cause of the fire.
