Dubai: Dubai Municipality organised a voluntary diving event to clean the seabed at Dubai Creek as part of the Day for Dubai initiative.
The initiative was aimed at preserving the marine environment and raising awareness among boat owners to reduce dumping of waste at sea, the civic body said in a press release on Wednesday.
“The Municipality seeks to raise awareness among the community about the importance of preserving the land and marine environment, which are essential elements in the local environment,” said Dawood Al Hajiri, director-general of Dubai Municipality.
