India Social and Cultural Centre (ISC) in Abu Dhabi felicitated Abdul Mugeeth who is running a campaign against plastic bags
Abu Dhabi: India Social and Cultural Centre (ISC) in Abu Dhabi felicitated Abdul Mugeeth, the eight year old eco-warrior, at a programme on Friday evening.
As Gulf News reported earlier, the boy is running a campaign against plastic bags by making paper bags from Gulf News newspapers. He demonstrated the steps of making paper bags in front of a packed audience.
Mugeeth also answered the questions from the audience. He explained the consequences of using plastic bags. His parents were also present at the programme.
Sudhir Kumar Shetty, the president of the ISC said Indian community really appreciated Mugeeth for his efforts of environmental awareness.
