Dubai: Universities and private companies can now obtain data on air quality in Dubai for a fee.

According to a Dubai Municipality decision announced on Thursday, it will cost Dh150 per day for six days’ of air quality data. For data for a period of 1-12 weeks, they will have to pay Dh350 for each week. For data of more than three months, customers will have to pay Dh500 for each month.

Eng Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, said that the data will include levels of hydrogen sulphide, ammonia, carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, ozone, nitrogen oxide, nitrogen dioxide and inflammable organic compounds.

Customers can also request information related to temperature, wind speed, wind direction, solar radiation and relative humidity. Data covering a day will cost Dh150.
