The weight limit on all EMS parcels has been increased from 31 to 50 kilos. The new policy is part of efforts to give Emirates Post clients better services and upgraded facilities.
Formerly known as the General Postal Authority, Emirates Post is endeavouring to introduce new services and more competitive rates to encourage competition among international companies and provide the best facilities to the public.
This is in line with its efforts to implement the most modern services to be able to cope with the advanced changes and constant requirements of the business environment in the UAE.
EMS, a sister concern of Emirates Post, provides express delivery services, Mandoub services, database access and management, advertising support and printing. The vision of Emirates Post is to fully commit to providing a diverse range of reliable, cost-effective postal services to meet customers' needs.
Abdullah Ibrahim Al Daboos, Emirates Post Director-General, said, "Emirates Post attempts to provide mail services at the most reasonable possible rates at the maximum weight possible. "To this end, we continually strive to upgrade the mechanisation of our operations and services and to enhance the efficiency of our services."
