Emirates Post plans 'Hypermail'

An electronic system called 'Hypermail' will soon be launched by Emirates Post to facilitate quick billing for companies and banks.

Emirates Post director general, Abdulla Ibrahim Al Daboos, said the service is scheduled to start in a month's time and will be the first of its kind in the Middle East.

"The new service will be a good solution for many business sectors, especially banks," he said. "All the banks have to do is sent us all the information of their billing and other relevant details through a modem.

"Once we receive all this information we then take care of the printing, insertions and the envelopes, and the finished product will be delivered in just 24 hours.

"We will also instal a 'track and trace' system. For example if a consumer or customer says they haven't received their bill, then we will be able to run a check on the system and verify that," he said.
