Ras Al Khaimah: Air Wing of Ras Al Khaimah Police rescued a UAE national from rugged mountains in the emirate after receiving emergency call for help.

It took the team some 40 minutes to find the man on a mountain at the height of 3,700 feet. Major Mohammed Abdullah Al Awadhi, Acting Head of the Air Wing at Ras Al Khaimah Police, said emergency call was received at the operations room regarding a citizen who had a health issue in a mountainous area of the emirate. Consequently, rescue team in a one of the department’s helicopters was dispatched to the specified location, where the cited citizen was found and taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Ras Al Khaimah Police have urged citizens, residents, and tourists to take necessary precautionary measures and remain cautious by ensuring they have their needs for food and beverages when heading to hiking in the mountain.
