Minor earthquake recorded in Falaj Al Mualla, UAE

ABU DHABI: The National Seismic Network, operated by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), recorded a minor earthquake measuring 2.2 on the Richter scale in Falaj Al Mualla, Umm Al Quwain, on Saturday.

In a statement, the NCM confirmed that the earthquake occurred at 5:51pm local time. It was not felt by residents and was detected only by the network's monitoring equipment.

The NCM assured the public that the seismic activity had no impact in the country and reiterated its commitment to closely monitoring such events to ensure public safety.
