Dubai: A fire that engulfed a residential building near Mall of the Emirates in Al Barsha on Sunday night has been contained.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, Dubai Civil Defence said on Monday.

The Dubai Civil Defence Operations Room received a report at 10:33pm on Sunday regarding the incident. Immediately, Al Barsha Fire Station was dispatched as the first responder.

Upon arrival at the scene at 10:38pm, achieving a response time of five minutes, it was found that the incident occurred at the front facade of the building, which consists of eight floors. Specialised teams began the evacuation and firefighting operations.

At 11:05pm, a signal was received from the incident field commander indicating that the fire was under control, with no injuries reported.

At 11:48pm, the field commander reported that the incident was in the cooling phase, and the site would be handed over to the relevant authorities upon the completion of cooling operations, following standard procedures.
