The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority has announced the organization of the “Abu Dhabi International EMS Conference 2025,” which is scheduled to take place from 25 to 27 November at Conrad Etihad Towers – Abu Dhabi. This comes as part of the Authority’s continuous efforts to enhance the emergency medical care system and advance the capabilities of EMS services and critical response at both the national and regional levels.
The announcement was made during a press conference held by the Authority at its headquarters in Khalifa City, where the key themes, objectives, and the role of the event in developing the EMS and emergency response system in the UAE and the region were presented.
The conference is the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, highlighting the importance of pre-hospital emergency medical care, and showcasing the latest technologies and innovations in the field of EMS. It will provide a platform that brings together distinguished experts and specialized leaders from various countries around the world to discuss the future of the sector and anticipate its evolving needs.
The conference program includes nine specialized training workshops targeting EMS professionals, first responders, and primary response providers, in addition to general workshops accredited by the American Heart Association focusing on First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Participants in the scientific program will receive Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours accredited by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, enhancing the educational value and contributing to the development of specialized professional competencies. The conference will also feature the “EMS Challenge,” in which national and international EMS teams compete through practical scenarios simulating emergency call responses, aiming to assess performance levels and enhance field readiness.
The Authority affirmed that organizing this conference aligns with the directives of the Government of Abu Dhabi to build an integrated and resilient emergency response system based on innovation and modern technologies, and grounded in the synergy between health, police, and civil defence sectors to ensure the highest standards of life protection.
It added that this event represents a strategic platform for supporting scientific research, developing specialized practices, and reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading regional hub in advancing EMS and emergency medical care. This contributes to enhancing the quality of life in the community and strengthening the capabilities of the national emergency response system.
