MoHRE leads inclusive initiative through sports, entertainment, community engagements
Dubai: The UAE will host a series of celebratory events for workers across 10 locations during the Eid Al-Adha holidays, as part of a nationwide initiative titled “Eid with Our Workers: Joy and Happiness.”
Organised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), in partnership with key federal and local entities, the initiative aims to foster a sense of community and appreciation for workers’ contributions to the UAE’s development. The agenda includes a variety of entertainment shows, sports tournaments, competitions, and award ceremonies.
How to register
MoHRE has also launched a dedicated website ‘eidaladha2025.ensure.ae’ inviting private sector companies and labour accommodation facilities to register their workers and select events based on geographic preference, ensuring smooth participation and coordination.
Spreading joy
Mohsin Ali Al Nassi, Assistant Undersecretary for Inspection and Compliance at MoHRE, said: “These celebrations reflect our commitment to making workers feel valued, included, and engaged, especially during national holidays. Workers are a cornerstone of the UAE’s ongoing progress and an essential part of our labour market.”
Dalal Alshehhi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Protection at MoHRE, added: “These initiatives underline the Ministry’s dedication to strengthening the bonds between workers and the broader community. By promoting participation and happiness among workers, we are enhancing both worker satisfaction and the overall health of the labour market.”
Senior leaders from MoHRE and partner organisations will also visit various event sites to interact with participants and further reinforce the importance of worker welfare and recognition in the UAE’s social and economic fabric.

The events are being held in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, police commands from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, as well as several municipal and civil defence authorities.
