Therapists and teachers trained to aid hearing impaired pupils

Abu Dhabi: Nearly 60 speech therapists and teachers in the emirate have recently been trained to help hearing impaired pupils use their residual hearing as effectively as possible, the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec) announced in a statement on Sunday.

The training programme, which is used internationally to aid Arabic speakers, will better enable the therapists and teachers to work with hearing impaired pupils Adec also recently distributed devices to aid special needs pupils in the emirate.
