Sharjah Ruler grants land for Islamic university

Sharjah: A 1,000 square metre plot of land in University City was granted to the Islamic Virtual University by His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Shaikh Sultan will also bear all expenses related to the construction of the university building.

The grant and gesture was announced by Dr Mohammad Esmail Mohammad, deputy director of the University of Sharjah for financial and administrative affairs, during a meeting held by a committee of technical experts at the International Islamic Charity Organisation headquarters in Kuwait.

During the meeting, the university’s strategy and system were also discussed.
