Abu Dhabi: The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City has completed training courses for 350 engineers and controllers in law-enforcement skills, in conjunction with the Judicial Studies and Specialised Training Academy in Abu Dhabi.
The move was aimed at familiarising engineers, controllers and inspectors with responsibilities in cases of breaches of the law as well as in following-up their implementation within the framework of their job specialities.
The programme also aimed to acquaint trainees with their powers and the taboos they should avoid while discharging their duties.
The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City held a special ceremony to present the law-enforcement certificates to 350 trainees in an event at the academy’s headquarters and attended by adviser Dr Abdullah Al Obaidli, Director of Legal Affairs, Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, together with a delegation from the Legal Affairs Division.
The certificates were awarded by Dr Ahmad Rashidi, Director-General of the academy, and training and development officer, Juma Mohammad Al Daheri.
Al Obaidli highlighted the Municipality’s aim to strengthen the cooperative links with various community organisations with the aim of providing judicial services measuring up to the world’s highest standards.
Social responsibility

“It will also assist them on how to diagnose violations and enforce procedures in a professional and legal manner with a view to curbing offences that undermine the health, safety and security of the community, distort the overall appearance of the city, and instil effective and positive concepts and values,” the municipality official said.
