The program runs until Friday, August 22, featuring a broad spectrum of in-person and live-streamed training workshops.

Digital empowerment

The first day featured a workshop titled “The Role of the Department of Educational Materials Development and Learning Resources in Supporting the Educational Process,” designed for science laboratory specialists. The session was live-streamed in Arabic from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, August 19–20, workshops under the theme “Specialist of the Future: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Developing Learning Resource Centers” are scheduled for learning resources specialists, live-streamed daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

On Thursday, August 21, the Ministry will hold two interactive workshops under the theme “Tamkeen: Interactive Training on Digital Systems and Platforms.” The first, in Arabic, will run from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., while the second, in English, will be delivered at the same time. Both sessions are directed at all teachers via live stream.

The week will conclude on Friday, August 22, with a workshop on “Digital Security Strategies: Towards a Safe Digital Learning Environment,” targeting all educational staff, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Special education

The training program also includes special education specialists and teachers. Sessions began on Monday, August 18, with a workshop on cognitive testing using the UAE University Scale for psychologists in Al Ain, alongside training on the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program in Ajman.

Additional workshops will be held for visual impairment specialists, focusing on preparing documents accessible to visually impaired students. Throughout the week, sessions will also address a variety of topics, including phonological processing disorders for speech and language specialists, challenges faced by sign language interpreters, and strategies to develop self-determination skills among students of determination.

Academic and social counselors

The program for academic and social counselors features a diverse range of workshops, including an in-person session in Ajman and another via live stream. Sessions continue through Thursday, August 21, covering topics such as leadership in cybersecurity, strengthening educational organizations, and specialized training in academic and social counseling skills.

The Specialized Training Week forms part of the Ministry of Education’s preparations for the new academic year, aiming to enhance the efficiency of teaching and administrative staff, strengthen their digital, educational, and psychological skills, and ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
