The Canadian Embassy Education Fair will be held today in Dubai at the Knowledge Village Conference Centre from 6 to 9pm. Presentations will also be made alongiside.

There are 32 institutions participating in the fair - the first Canadian Embassy education event to be held in the UAE.

Educational institutions in Canada are becoming very interested not only in recruiting students from the Gulf region but also to establish strong partnerships and agreements with local companies for educational training programmes.

According to Simone Jucker, Trade Commissioner (Education and Training), Canadian Embassy: "Canada offers high-quality education in a multicultural, friendly and safe environment. The United Arab Emirates and surrounding GCC region represents a very important and growing source of students for Canadian institutions."

The tour then moves to Abu Dhabi where information sessions will be held at the Abu Dhabi Men's College on Thursday November 9 from 11am to 1.30pm. It will continue on to Saudi Arabia from November 10-16 in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Students who would like to learn more about studying in Canada can now access education information on the Canadian Embassy website: www.uae.gc.ca.
