Abu Dhabi launches summer activities to boost student learning and development

The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has announced the launch of the latest edition of its School Holiday Activities Program, coinciding with the end of the academic year. The initiative is part of ADEK’s ongoing efforts to offer enriching and enjoyable experiences that contribute to the development of students’ skills and knowledge during the summer break.

The program offers innovative learning experiences, including tailored activities to support students of determination. It focuses on interactive and hands-on learning beyond the traditional classroom setting, in collaboration with leading partners and organizations. This year’s edition incorporates feedback and suggestions from parents based on previous versions of the program.

Programs designed to prepare future-ready students

This summer’s new additions include a series of programs aimed at preparing students for the future by equipping them with diverse, 21st-century skills. These include: “Young Business Leaders” by STORM, “Flosak Namosak” by the Zood initiative and “Careers of the Future” by Paul Position Agency in collaboration with Hashtat Center. 

The program also provides high school students with access to advanced training in artificial intelligence and technology, offered in partnership with leading universities. These include:

  • “Build the Future” by Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence

  • “Discover” by Khalifa University

  • “Future Tech Explorers – AI and Coding Camp” by Abu Dhabi University

  • “Energy and Artificial Intelligence” by the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi – Abu Dhabi

3D innovation at UAE university

United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain will also offer a set of specialized programs, including; “3D Innovation: Leave Your Mark”, “Data Science and Visualization” and “Command Engineering”.. 

These are presented in collaboration with the Khalifa Fund.

Parents can explore an additional 33 programs offered by a variety of specialized providers. These programs have been carefully selected to ensure a rich educational experience tailored to each student’s interests and needs.
