Dubai workers' rights highlighted

Dubai: More than 9,000 workers in Dubai attended an event recently held in Muhaisnah district aimed at creating public awareness about workers' rights.

Cash, airline tickets and other prizes were given away during the event, which also featured a concert organised by the Ministry of Labour.

Nadia Al Muhairi, Director of the Guidance Department, said that hosting such events increases the productivity of those workers, and keeps them happy within the UAE community.

It also "highlights their national sense towards the UAE community and responsibility towards promoting all workers' rights.”
