Dubai: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on Saturday announced that it is developing parking facilities in Al Rigga, Al Sabkha, and Al Souq Al Kabeer.

This means parking facilities may become temporarily unavailable for motorists during the development phase, which has been undertaken as part of RTA’s “ongoing initiatives to enhance Dubai's infrastructure.”

The move is aimed at improving mobility in these busy commercial areas in old Dubai, known for retail activity, trading, and high pedestrian traffic.

RTA advised motorists to use public transport options while the project is underway.

“To ensure convenient travel during this development phase, we recommend choosing public transportation, an efficient and comfortable solution to reach your destination effortlessly,” the authority stated.

“The metro, buses, taxis, and other modes of public transport are all available for your daily commute,” RTA reminded motorists.
