Dubai Police complete preparations for Eid Al Adha cannon firing at six locations

Dubai: Dubai Police have confirmed that all preparations are complete for the traditional firing of cannons to mark the arrival of Eid, with six designated locations across the emirate.

Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Tarish Al Amimi, Commander of the Dubai Police Cannons Unit, said the Eid cannon remains a cherished part of the UAE’s social heritage, deeply embedded in the community’s collective memory and cultural identity.

He added that all necessary arrangements have been made to fire the cannons on the occasion of Eid Al Adha at the following locations: Za'abeel Grand Mosque in Za'abeel, and the Eid Musallahs in Umm Suqeim, Nad Al Hamar, Al Barsha, Al Baraha, and Hatta.
