Dubai: Motorists in Dubai can now pay traffic fines in instalments, Dubai Police said on Monday.
Drivers who hold credit cards from Dubai Islamic Bank can settle their traffic fines over a course of three, six, nine or twelve months — in interest-free instalments. The minimum payment under the instalments plan is Dh500.
Brigadier Hameed Salem Al Suwaidi, deputy director of income department in Dubai Police, signed the agreement with Sanjai Malhotra, head of individuals banking services in the bank.
Brig Al Suwaidi said the agreement aims to open new channels of payment for motorists in easy instalment plan.
“It is an innovation service provided by Dubai Police to achieve our strategic goal of providing happiness to the society through Dubai Police services,” he said.
