A few days ago, a Pakistani victim, identified as A.Z., told the police that he caught a man who tried to steal his mobile.
The victim told the police that he heard some noise as soon as he got up in the morning.
A.Z. while checking for the cause of the noise discovered that his mobile phone is missing.
The victim then noticed a man wearing Pakistani national dress storming out of the room. The convict had stolen the phone and was trying to run away, the police heard.
The police detained M.A. for questioning. The victim also told the police that the 34-year-old seemed to be suffering from mental illness as he was acting strangely.
The visitor confessed to the charges. The Dubai Court of First Instance awarded him six months in jail, followed by deportation.
