Ras Al Khaimah: The Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court sentenced two Pakistani nationals to a year imprisonment, followed by deportation, for the attempted rape of two Filipinas.

The court official explained that two Filipinas hired a taxi to drive them to another emirate, but the driver asked them to take his friend in the vehicle, to help him with the driving.

The two women did not reject that and once the two men were in the car with the women, they locked the car and attempted to rape the women, who managed to get away by jumping from the car.

The court official said that the two Filipina victims immediately reported the case to the Ras Al Khaimah Police, whereupon an investigative team immediately took action and arrested the two Pakistani suspects.

They were later referred to the Ras Al Khaimah Public Prosecution that pressed charges and referred the case to the emirate’s Criminal Court.
