Seven men arrested for drug possession

Ras Al Khaimah Police arrested the men on suspicion of possessing and promoting drugs

Ras Al Khaimah: Seven men were arrested for drug dealing after officers found a large quantity of narcotic substances in their possession.

Authorities launched an investigation after receiving information that a new and dangerous type of narcotic drug was being promoted. 

The suspect was tracked down by police and arrested along with his partners who helped him promote and sell the drug to people in the emirate.

Colonel Adnan Ali Al Zaabi, director-general of Ras Al Khaimah Police's Anti-Narcotics Department, said the men used different methods to promote the drug in a bid to hide their illegal activity from police.

Different types of drugs were found in possession of the men upon arrest.

During questioning, the suspects confessed to their crime and the case has been refered to the public prosecution.
