Police probe death of worker

Sharjah: Sharjah police have launched an investigation into the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of an Asian worker in a farm in Al Dhaid on Thursday evening, an official at Sharjah police told Gulf News.

The body of the 62-year-old worker, identified as M.H.A., was found lying on the ground by his employer.

A police patrol, paramedics and a team from CID arrived at the scene after they were informed of the incident by the employer. They transferred the body to Al Dhaid Hospital.

An official at Al Dhaid Hospital told Gulf News the body had several bruises. Police have not ruled out murder, the official said.
