Police launch manhunt after man stabbed in Sharjah

His condition is reported to be stable

Sharjah: A 28-year-old Bangladeshi man was reportedly stabbed in Al Naba’a area in Sharjah, a Sharjah Police official told Gulf News.

The stabbing occurred at about 8pm on Friday.

Police said the man, identified as M.D., was stabbed several times in different parts of his body when he was walking on a busy road in Sharjah. The incident was reported to the police operation room by passers-by who heard the man shouting .The man was taken by ambulance to Al Kuwaiti Hospital at around 8.20pm for treatment. He is listed in stable condition, police said.

The motive for the crime is not clear and police are investigating the case.

The Bangladeshi victim is currently under watch of a police guard at Al Kuwaiti Hospital. Police have launched an investigation into the incident and a manhunt for the stabbing suspects.
