Three in court for beating man who said no to sleeping with a prostitute
Dubai: Three Bangladeshi men are accused of mugging a Pakistani man after he refused to sleep with a prostitute who worked for them. According to records, the 24-year-old Pakistani was walking on a road in Al Baraha on November 6, 2012, when the three approached him and offered him the services of one of their prostitutes. “When I turned down their offer they knocked me to the ground and started beating me up. They took my cellphone and wallet which contained Dh1,700 and my IDs,” said the Pakistani.
A police patrol found him lying on the ground with a head injury. The three men - two unemployed, and one a construction worker - were arrested on February 21.
The three denied all charges. A verdict is expected on May 29.
