Sharjah: At least one man has been killed and four people seriously injured following a brawl between people using sharp tools over a financial dispute, Colonel Ebrahim Al Ajel, Head of Criminal and Investigation Department at Sharjah Police said.
The incident took place in Al Musalla area of Sharjah early last week.
Police and paramedics moved to the scene after the police operations room was alerted about the incident. They were told that a fight had broken out between a group of young men of Asian nationalities and they were using knives, sticks and other sharp tools in the fight.
One of them, identified as A.K., 27, was killed, while four others were seriously injured and suffered severe injuries and were admitted to Al Qassimi Hospital and Al Kuwaiti Hospital.
Police investigations revealed the fighting was over a financial dispute.
All seven suspects —— Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Indian — involved in the fighting were taken to police custody to be questioned.
Al Gharb Police station launched an investigation over the incident.
