Man’s body found in Sharjah house

Sharjah: A probe has been launched following the discovery of a man’s body in a house on Wednesday morning. The man is believed to have died of a drugs overdose.

Police believe the incident is connected to an illegal drugs operation and are investigating the cause of death and the circumstances leading up to it.

They received a call at around 10am saying that the body of an Emirati man, who has been identified as 51-year-old A.E.A.A, had been found in a house in the Al Ghafiya area.

“He had taken large quantities of drugs,” said a Sharjah police officer.

His body was taken to Al Qasimi Hospital. An autopsy will be carried out. The case is with Al Heira Police.
