Sharjah: A man has been arrested by CID for sharing and distributing files and images of child pornography online.
The man, Shaikh A.A., from India was tracked down after police were tipped off that a man was distributing prohibited material via an online file sharing website called P2P.
Police arrested the suspect at his home in industrial area No 4, which was searched for prohibited images and material. Illegal material was found on the man’s laptop.
and it was confiscated for further investigation.
Sharjah Police have warned the public to refrain from sharing or distributing any suspicious images, movies or files online.
They also urged community members to exercise caution when using social networking sites and refrain from sharing personal data or photos.
