Ras Al Khaimah: The Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court sentenced an Arab family, comprised of a husband and a wife and their two sons, to life in prison on charges of human trafficking, inciting prostitution and forgery.

The ruling was announced by Judge Mohammad Al Khatri.

The details of the case date back to last year, when the Criminal investigation Department managed to arrest four persons in addition to three girls who were suspected of involvement in the prostitution ring.

The police had received information reporting that the suspects had brought the girls from their home country with forged documents for practicing prostitution. The family were organising parties and forcing their daughters and the three girls to indulge in prostitution for money.

Later, the three girls were arrested by police at the family’s house.

The three girls were found to be victims and acquitted by the court.

The suspects were interrogated after they underwent criminal tests.

They were referred to the Public Prosecution and then to the Criminal Court which issued the previous ruling.
