Dubai: Deyaar's former CEO refused to appear in Dubai Appeals Court and testify in the case of an ex-board member convicted of abuse of power and causing a Dh115 million loss to Deyaar.
"The ex-CEO [45-year-old American Z.S.] has refused to testify in this case," said Presiding Judge Mustafa Al Shennawi on Tuesday.
The 41-year-old Emirati ex-board member, S.A.'s lawyer Dr Habib Al Mulla insisted on hearing Z.S's statement. S.A. has denied his charges and seeking an appeal.
The court reconvenes on June 29.
