Decomposed body found in Sharjah construction site

Police believe that the man had committed suicide a few days ago

Sharjah: Sharjah Police have begun extensive investigations to probe the circumstances behind the death of a decomposed body found in Moleih area of Sharjah on Tuesday afternoon, an official at Sharjah Police told Gulf News.

Officials said that the Operations Room received a tip-off that a decomposed body had been discovered at a construction site.

Officials said the body of man has been identified and it belongs to a 39-year-old Indian man.

He added: “An investigation team of the CID, prosecutors and a forensic doctor immediately rushed to the spot where the body was found and it has been examined.”

Police believe that the man committed suicide a few days ago as they found a piece of cloth tied around his neck.

The official said that the body has been transferred to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy to determine the real cause of death.
