Dubai: Gulf News obtained some pictures of the investigation process carried out after the robbery of a jewellery store at Wafi City last month.

In a daring robbery, a gang burst into Graff jewellery store in Wafi City in two cars on April 15 and escaped with jewellery worth about Dh14 million.

Police collected various pieces of jewellery and officials examined the jewellery to check if the word Graff was embossed on the pieces found. Officials then matched pictures of the stolen jewellery with the ones found. Dubai Police announced earlier that they arrested three men in connection with the robbery.

Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Chief of Dubai Police, described one of the three suspects as the leader of the operation.

He came to the UAE for the first time, and the gang gave him the keys to a rented car, in which they had hidden the stolen jewellery.

He was assigned to leave the country with the jewellery. Security officers arrested him as soon as he got into the car. After searching the car, police found the jewellery consisting of 25 pieces, one of them worth Dh1 million.
