Construction worker falls to death from 46th floor in Sharjah
Police urge companies to ensure safety measures at work sites
Sharjah: A worker was killed after falling from an under-construction building in the Al Khan area of Sharjah on Tuesday, police said.
The Asian worker died after falling from the 46th floor in a building under construction near Al Qasba area of Sharjah.
The worker plunged down while working on the top floors in the high-rise building.
The Asian victim reportedly slipped while doing his routine work.
Workers at the site reported the incident to the police operations room.
A team from the Criminal and Investigation Department (CID) was dispatched to the building, The man was transferred to Al Kuwaiti Hospital where he was pronounced dead and the body was moved to the forensic laboratory.
Sharjah Police are investigating the case.
Police urged construction companies to ensure that all safety measures are in place at work sites.
