Beggar held with Dh30,000 in Sharjah

Sharjah: Sharjah Police have arrested a man going from door to door soliciting alms and found Dh30,000 in his possession.

The beggar, identified as B.W.B, 40, a Pakistani, was arrested when he was begging in a residential area.

Sharjah Police expressed their gratitude to the public for their cooperation in reporting beggars and door-to-door vendors who pose social security risks.

Sharjah Police said that they are intensifying the campaign to arrest beggars after receiving a positive response from residents in reporting such cases.
