Ras Al Khaimah: Five suspected drug dealers were arrested after officers found a large quantity of banned substances in their possession.

Authorities started investigations after receiving information about illegal activities being carried out by five Asian drivers. Anti-narcotics operatives of RAK Police set up a trap and arrested the suspects.

Colonel Adnan Ali Al Zaabi, Director-General of Ras Al Khaimah Police’s Anti-Narcotics Department, said the suspects work as drivers.

At the time of the arrests, he said, the suspects had heroin in their possession.

During questioning, the suspects confessed to their crime, the official said, adding that the case has been referred to the public prosecution.

Colonel Al Zaabi urged company owners to observe the behaviour of their workers and inform authorities about any suspicious activity conduct by them.
