Child dead, mother injured in RAK car accident

Ras Al Khaimah: A young mother survived after losing her two–year-old child in a car crash in a sandy area in Ras Al Khaimah late on Monday, said Colonel Abdullah Ali, Director of the Traffic and Patrol Department, Ras Al Khaimah Police.

The accident took place after the young Emirati mother lost control of her car and crashed into a tree on a sandy road, said the official.

The child died on the spot due to the impact; the mother was transferred to  Saqr hospital, said the official.
