Can you identify this woman?

Sharjah: A UAE-based NGO is seeking help to identify a 45-year-old woman who is waiting to be discharged from the Kuwaiti Hospital in Sharjah.

“The woman’s name as documented in the hospital records is Shati Shati. Someone apparently brought her to the emergency in an unconscious state on August 29. She came in with high blood pressure and could not move her limbs. She was subsequently diagnosed with hypertensive encephalopathy (a neurological dysfunction caused by hypertension),” said Pam Gouri, hospital coordinator of Valley of Love.

She said the woman regained consciousness two weeks after treatment and began to move her limbs in the third week. “She has also started talking but remains disoriented. She speaks Hindi and claims she is from Hyderabad in India but cannot tell us anything else. She has no idea how she landed in the hospital, who brought her in or from where.”

Gouri said: “The woman has been put on medication for hypertension and high cholesterol and is ready for discharge but there is no one to take her. We have drawn a blank to all our questions so far. We are looking for some leads to identify her family and send her home. If someone can recognise her, please let us know.”
