Dubai: Emirates Post has joined forces with Emirates Automobile Club and Tourism to educate travellers about the importance of official international driving permits issued in accordance with the Federal Law of the UAE.

The joint campaign was launched in order to communicate with hundreds of thousands of people in the UAE and make sure that those who are planning on traveling outside the country are aware of the necessity of possessing international driving licences.

Publications will be inserted in mailboxes to spread the message, thousands of emails and text messages will also be sent.

This initiative comes as part of the six year partnership agreement between Emirates Automobile Club and Tourism and Emirates Post in effort to spare the people of the UAE any legal and insurance problems when they rent vehicles and drive abroad.

Executive director of the commercial group of Emirates Post Company, Ebrahim Bin Karam stated: “This is an important message for everyone, because people should be fully aware that purchasing a licence from a non accredited authority might expose them to many problems. It is also an important step for us in the Emirates Post as it is strengthening our role as a centre for community services.”
