The advisory specifically warns against holding such services between 10am and 5pm
Abu Dhabi: The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat has advised the public to avoid performing funeral prayers during the afternoon hours, citing safety concerns related to high temperatures.
In a statement issued on Friday, the authority emphasized the importance of conducting funeral prayers and burial procedures either in the early morning or during the evening when the sun's rays are softer.
The advisory specifically warns against holding such services between 10am and 5pm, a period identified as particularly risky due to the potential for heatstroke and exhaustion.
The notice is part of ongoing efforts to protect the health and well-being of those attending funeral services during the UAE’s summer heat.
