The Arab Family Organisation will open an office in the UAE. According to Dr Sawsan Osman, Deputy Chairman of the Arab Family Organisation, Sharjah has made a request for the office, but it is up to the federal government to choose the location. Osman said setting up an office in the UAE will be an important step in the region.
"This office will be the link between the main headquarters of the organisation and the Gulf," she said. Although the office will handle the GCC, its members will be selected from the UAE. The role of the UAE office will be to implement the policies of the Arab Family Organisation in the GCC. It will also update the headquarters on all the social needs and problems of the region.
"The UAE office and the headquarters will coordinate training activities and awareness programmes to raise the standard of the Arab family in the Gulf," she said.
