The perfect partnership between one of the UAE's most successful conglomerates on the one hand and the most prestigious equine events on the other hand continues at Nad Al Sheba this evening when the Al Rostamani Group maintains its association with the Al Maktoum Challenge/Round II.
This will be the eighth year in which Al Rostamani group has been associated with sponsoring races at the Al Maktoum Challenge, signaling the Group's continuing commitment to support sports and other community events.
A total of seven races will be witnessed during the night. The highlight of the night are the two races of the second round of the Al Maktoum Challenge for thoroughbreds and the Prep race for the Guineas 2000. The first race begins at 7 pm.
Al Rostamani group is also offering a free prize draw to win a 2002 Nissan Sunny, the UAE's best selling passenger vehicle, which will be open to all race goers.
Free entry coupons will be available at the racecourse entrance and the draw will be held at the end of the meeting, which the winner must attend in order to claim the prize.
Commenting on this event, Abdullah Hassan Al Rostamani, Chairman of Al Rostamani Group, said: "We have enjoyed a long association with the Al Maktoum Challenge meeting and we are proud and privileged to be associated with such a highly regarded event once again."
On his part, Ali Khamis Al Jafleh, Chairman of the Dubai Racing Club, said: "It is fitting that one of the most recognized group in the UAE is associated with one of our most recognized race meetings.
"The Al Rostamani group has been a magnificent supporter of racing in Dubai, and it is with great pleasure that we welcome them back as the main sponsor at Nad Al Sheba tonight.
"The Al Rostamani link with horse racing in the Emirates is a long and traditional one, and the Dubai Racing Club is grateful for its support over the last eight years," he said.
The Group's flying birds logo has become familiar to racing enthusiasts, through sponsorship of race meetings, and to the whole community.
Al Rostamani group's involvement in racing stems from a family interest, including ownership of horses, and also from a desire to contribute to the community that has supported the group's success over the past 40 years.
"The Al Rostamani Group would like to wish all the attendees another exciting race night on the 7th of February and hope that once again our association with Dubai Racing Club will be a source of enjoyment for the racing enthusiasts who look forward to world class races like the one planned for the night," added Abdullah Hassan Al Rostamani, the Group's Chairman.
