Hosts Abu Dhabi Duty Free were carried to a memorable victory in their own tournament thanks mainly to Ahmed Nadeem big century against Abu Dhabi Gymkhana in the final on Friday. Nadeem's 121 helped ADDF to amassive 144-run victory over AD Gymkhana and take home the ADDF Trophy at theADCC ground in Mussafah.

Batting first, ADDF were given a flying start by openers Saleem Raza (45) and Muneer-Ud-din (38) who put on 70 runs. Nadeem followed it up with a brilliant century and his 121 came off just 83 balls. Nadeembelted ten fours and eight sixes.

Waseem Khan (25) and Malik Nadeem (34) helped ADDFreach a an imposing total of 346 for nine in the stipulated 40 overs. Mehmood Hassan and Mohammed Haroon claimed two wickets each for AD Gymkhana.

In reply, AD Gymkhana's opener Mehmood Hassan (55). Haroon (33) and Omer Farooq Dar (34) were the only batsmen to cope with the ADDF attack who once again dominated. Imran Khan claimed four wickets and AD and Saleem Raza bagged three as Gymkhana were all out for 204in 32.2 overs.

Saeed Atiq Saleem, chairman Abu Dhabi Cricket Council gave away the trophies in the presence of Inam-Ul-Haq, general secretary, Dina El Korety, marketing officer, ADDF, and Liaquat Ali Khan, assistant personnel manager, ADDF.
