Mohammad to answer questions from journalists and citizens at upcoming summit
Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, will answer questions submitted to him by journalists and citizens during the Governmental Summit taking place on February 11-12.
Shaikh Mohammad will attend an open session during the first day of the summit in which he will answer questions related to his vision for the march of governmental work during the coming period and key values of governmental leadership.
He will also answer questions pertaining to national priorities of the UAE government leading to UAE Vistion 2021, which was launched by Shaikh Mohammad three years ago.
The summit’s organising committee called on citizens and journalists to submit their questions to Shaikh Mohammad’s official website. Questions will be received starting from Tuesday until February 11.
Shaikh Mohammad will speak about his future vision for improving governmental performance in the UAE and key future developments in the field of services and general governmental policies.
Also attending the Governmental Summit will be Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, who will discuss topics related to enhancing governmental performance.
Many speakers from various part of the world who specialise in the field of research for improving governmental work will also participate. The summit will review the governmental experience of Canada, Australia, South Korea and Brazil, in addition to other successful local models.
A panel of discussion will include Saqr Gobash, Minister of Labour, while open panels of discussions will see the participation of UAE Ministers of Health, Education and Social Affairs.
Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, said that the Governmental Summit is an important addition in the field of governmental services on the local, regional and international stage. “We made sure that the panels of discussion include important aspects, such as topics which greatly concern the needs of Emiratis from various governmental departments in terms of quality services,” said Gergawi.
“The summit detaches itself from the traditional framework related to discussions and presentation of ideas in order to work towards a different type of interaction and discussions, therefore creating an ideal platform for the exchange of expertise and achieving constructive interaction between parties participating in the summit,” he added.
Speakers from US, Singapore, and United Kingdom will partake in the summit. International organisations that excel in customer service will also be participating, such as the UN, World Bank and World Economic Forum.
