Watch match from home, Nepal cricket official requests fan ahead of NPL

Dubai: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has requested fans to watch the inaugural match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) from home, as all tickets for the opening game have already sold out.

In a video message, CAN Secretary Parash Khadka said, “All tickets have been sold, and since the first day is always crowded, we humbly request everyone who hasn’t secured a ticket to support us by watching the match from home.”

A total of 8,000 tickets were made available through Khalti, with around 2,000 reserved for players’ families, organisers, and sponsors. Tickets for the inaugural clash, released on Friday, were snapped up within hours.

Regular tickets are priced at Rs500 for the inaugural and other league matches, and Rs1,000 for the play-offs and final. Premium tickets cost Rs1,500 for the opening match and Saturday’s game, Rs1,000 for other league fixtures, and Rs2,000 for the play-offs and final.

Khadka reiterated that all seats for the first match have been taken and urged those without tickets to enjoy the game from home.

The second edition of the NPL kicks off on November 17 (Monday), with the opening match between Janakpur Bolts and Kathmandu Gorkhas set for 4pm
